In pairing your mobile phone to certain devices or appliances within your home, you can now auto-adjust temperature settings, turn on certain lights while you are away and manage your home security system, along with a variety of other things. Your phone has now become a universal remote with just one swipe or a click. Screens can also be installed in areas such as the front entrance or garage, so before leaving you have the opportunity to adjust certain settings.

One way to help reduce a home’s carbon footprint is to selectively chose recyclable materials, especially if they are from other parts of Canada. Ranging from counter tops, flooring and more, people are now in tune with what can benefit the environment and potentially be of value for the future real estate market.

Quality LED light bulbs not only last longer, but offer better lighting and are more durable than the average incandescent light. They also emit less heat.
